Create a smartphone system which provides the illusion of being able to modify (open-source) apps on the phone, using a yet unspecified IDE running on the phone, and running the modified apps in place.  What is going on behind the scenes is that the compilation (presumably too computationally expensive to be done on a smartphone) is being done elsewhere, in the cloud, and the binaries are being copied back onto the phone.  Instant gratification.

Even more radically, modify the OS.  We probably need some rollback infrastructure to recover from catastrophic mistakes.
