1. Scapegoating the rapist, forcing him to shoulder the blame for the entirety of the harm, allows others a clear conscience about their slut-shaming behavior which causes a lot of the harm, perhaps even the majority of the harm in many cases.
2. Having received consent, a person feels free to completely ignore the underlying issues of shame in promiscuity, which may still be extremely relevant despite the consent.
The unifying theme is emphasizing sexual consent diverts attention from the real problem, ultimately making the social problem worse.
Furthermore, it is politically incorrect to criticize a culture of consent: an obstruction to freedom of speech may be making the problem worse. Note well, this is not government-imposed censorship, but speech suppression by social means.
