[zgwcfsnl] Radio broadcast of sports

Broadcasting sports over radio is an extremely challenging endeavor: reduce an entire experience, primarily visual, into words, and do it live.  So it would be nice to be able to directly compare who does it better: I expect there will be significant discrepancies in skill.

However, for major league sports, we do not have the chance for such comparison: there is at most one radio broadcast for a game and the teams or the league applies intellectual property rights to exclude competition and comparison.   This seems silly and counterproductive, as the purpose of sports broadcasting is entertainment, and a skilled broadcaster is more entertaining than another, so it would make sense if there were mechanisms for people with the difficult skill to have their talents discovered.
