While most mentorship programs seem to focus on kids in "at-risk" populations, an additional approach might be to seek out the "most promising" kids, to provide them with the support and backup so they may grow up to be the great citizens of the next generation.
Look at everyone who's achieved success: there's always a cast of background supporters.
