Education has been likened to the following:

1. Filling a pail
2. Lighting a fire (or keeping lit)
3. Jumping hurdles
4. Some metaphor for the (cynical) viewpoint that education is brainwashing, political indoctrination, behavioral programming to create a society that maintains the status quo of existing power structures.  Maybe power-washing a dirty surface.  Or carving a peg to fit into a hole.

Each of these can be illustrated with a picture or short video clip, perhaps artistically uncaptioned so none of them individually suggest they are illustrating education.
