Saw a nice aluminum burr puzzle collection, 42 different pieces engraved with identifying letters (multiple copies of certain pieces), accompanied by a sheaf of paper giving letter codes for 174 puzzles (6 letters per puzzle), organized by difficulty.
Improvements I would make:
Engrave the puzzle codes also on the pieces. Paper can be easily destroyed or lost. (Inspiration was, these aluminum pieces seem sturdy enough to last forever, but the paper won't.)
Provide extra copies of a few of the most commonly used pieces in puzzles, for example the notchless bar piece, so to make it possible for multiple people to work on different puzzles at the same time. Without them, finding distinct puzzles, enough pieces to solve both simultaneously, is a challenge. Especially distinct easy puzzles.
Provide a single object demonstrating the shape of the correct solution. Especially useful for those not familiar with burr puzzles.
