Create an accurate virtual simulation of an edge-turning twisty puzzle like the Helicopter Cube and Curvy Copter (and successors). This seems difficult: need to physically model overhang bandaging.
The angle of turn for a normal move is 180 degrees. The angle of turn for a jumbling move is (I think) 2 * arctan (sqrt(2)/2) = 70.53 degrees: align the main diagonals of a 2 by sqrt(2) rectangle.
Create a version of these puzzles in which bandaging does not occur. Perhaps map everything onto a sphere.
Further, "Ben's Master Little Chop" exhibits a feature called internal bandaging.
