Fairly strong are political forces protesting Christmas songs (and Christmas in general) as glorifying a man responsible for a tremendous amount of traumatizing oppression and persecution still occurring every day.
Also politically strong are those protesting "Baby, it's cold outside" as glorifying date rape, a traumatizing crime still occurring every day.
Not strong at all are those protesting songs about Santa as glorifying stalking, home invasion, and mass surveillance, also traumatizing crimes and injustices occurring every day.
What determines which political causes will be strong?
Possibly people don't have a problem with supernatural beings flagrantly breaking social rules and expectations, but sometimes they do.
