A object traveling in a parabolic trajectory explodes into two objects of possibly unequal masses while in midair, obeying conservation of momentum and mass (but obviously not conservation of energy).

Possibly a mechanic for a game like Angry Birds.

Or ellipses and hyperbolas for gravitational motion. Might be more interesting in 3D.
