Look for correlations among the following groups of people:
- Anti-vaccine movement
- Phobia of needles
- Survivor of rape
- Survivor of rape with significant psychological trauma
- Female
The hypothesized mechanisms are a psychological desire to keep the body "pure" (virginity), and fear of penetration.
The sexual indoctrination of the importance of virginity, and of shame about sexuality, might be psychologically at the heart of the anti-vaccine movement, requiring us to fix the first to fix the other.
