[zmtnmtyl] Incomplete tessellations by Platonic solids

Tessellate space with a single given Platonic solid with solids meeting exactly at faces.  However, remove the constraint that all of space must be filled.  Empty gaps are permitted, but all solids must be connected, e.g., no collection of disconnected columns.

Are periodic tilings possible other than the cube?

Previously, allowing overlap.

Inspiration was Rolling Cube Maze bumped up a dimension.
