Continuously deform an image around a center such that points near the center are magnified, points a middle distance away are compressed, and points far away are mostly unaffected. Sometimes called the Loupe effect, but we don't want a discontinuity at the edge of the loupe.
I think S shaped curves and their derivatives will be useful.
Also allow elliptical loupe areas.
The motivation was to take an image of text and make it hard to OCR.
