[ptdzyfbp] FOIA of AES and SHA-3

Thought experiment step 1: Submit a FOIA request for weaknesses to AES and SHA-3 known by the government (perhaps, deliberately introduced by the government).  Assume that full compliance with the request will get blocked by concerns about national security.

Step 2: What sort of legislation by Congress is needed to override these concerns?  That is, for the will of the people to direct the government that good crypto that the public trusts trumps national security?

Cast wider than these cryptographic primitives? NIST cipher suites.
