Stop continental drift and all tectonic activity.
Drill a large number of very deep shafts and vent off all geothermal heat, essentially making the crust much thicker, solidifying it so that tectonic effects can no longer be felt at the surface.
Of course, use the vented heat for geothermal power.
The amount of power we need to dissipate is 44 TW. Human fossil fuel energy consumption is currently 14 TW (but growing exponentially).
