Climate change caused by humans is minuscule compared to climate change caused by other forms of life in older eras of the earth's history, e.g., Great Oxygenation Event.
This is not an argument against preventing climate change but merely an observation of how little humans are amidst the great forces that shape the universe, and even the planet: bow down to the almighty microorganisms.
Inspired by the hypothesis that continents formed only because of life; if not for life, earth would be an ocean planet. (Which makes sense: why should there be continents in the face of erosion and minerals tending to dissolve in the "most powerful solvent"?)
