[zlihzzuq] Normalizing statistics of stranger vs acquaintance

Consider normalizing statistics of stranger rape versus acquaintance rape (date rape) by the number of occurrences of being in a situation in which rape was possible with each class.  (We note that there exist powerful social mechanisms in place to prevent being in such situations, especially with strangers.)

Should a potential victim be more scared being in such a situation with a stranger or with an acquaintance?  Apply Bayes's Rule. I hypothesize the risk is equal, and the preponderance of date rape is simply a result of more chances.

Would the answer to these questions affect policy to decrease the total amount of rape?  I'm guessing not, educating acquaintances likely will still have the most impact.
