A platform like Youtube permits a video debate between two political candidates to be conducted offline, allowing candidates to consult advisors, do research, and do good video production beyond a talking head.
We need a moderation framework in which the moderator of the debate can reject videos from candidates which don't answer the question or break an established rule for the debate.
Concatenated videos can then be aired on TV.
Should be tried small scale first, though video production is expensive, as is good research.
Given such an offline format, what should we expect in a live debate in which candidates are expected to answer quickly without advisors? Perhaps issues of principle rather than data, if they exist.
