To stop global warming, we need an alternative to power from fossil fuels.
Ignoring the common fools who think nuclear power is more dangerous than fossil fuel power, the real impediment to unlimited nuclear power is the fear of nuclear weapons proliferation of plutonium produced in breeder reactors.
That fear is justified because there are countries who want to bomb us. And countries we want to threaten to bomb to keep them in line. We are not at peace with them.
That lack of peace is identical to a lack of love, that is, we (and they) wish to maintain cultural and nationalistic barriers to prevent things like intermarriage.
Thus, we trace global warming to the fundamental issue of human society. Can we solve one to solve the other?
