Suppose an adult wishes to inculcate shame in promiscuity into a child. The existence and accessibility of child pornography impedes this goal: a child might see it and imitate it, thinking sex is a normal, acceptable activity (perhaps especially trying to thwart underage teenagers). How powerful is this concern in politically motivating the censorship of child pornography?
It's rarely stated concern. Or is it? "Think of the children!" is a double entrendre: while seemingly altrustically calling attention to the children who might harmed in its production, it is also "selfishly" about promulgating shame about one's sexuality, trying to push this destructive social construct on to the next generation.
