How thick can a glass window be while still being able to see through it? Well, fiber optic glass can transmit light over very long distances (hundreds of feet?) with little attenuation.
As an art project, create a large, very thick (maybe 30 feet thick) window out of glass so clear you can't even tell it is there. (This will likely be obscenely expensive.)
How can the demonstration convince people it's actually solid glass and not hollow filled with air? Some sort of refraction?
