Dye a baseball with ultraviolet fluorescent dye so that it is easier to see ("whiter than white", like laundry detergent). In the daytime, the sun provides UV. At night, or indoors, use blacklights, perhaps embedded flat in the ground on the path between pitcher and batter.
Inspired by a bright yellow softball, intended to be easier to see.
