Glenn Beck is a prominent critic of the government.  The website above is a critic of Glenn Beck, and defamation as satire is permissable because he is a public figure.

However, such an attack may have a "chilling effect" as Beck may choose not to use his inflammatory rhetoric in the future (self-censorship), or other commentators may choose not to criticize the government in the future, for fear that they themselves might become the subject of a satire attack.

Free speech is important, but here we are balancing two different parties' rights to free speech.  Who's free speech is more important?  People's free speech to criticize the government, or people's free speech to criticize people who criticize the government?

I believe the former: criticizing the government is the single most important freedom.

But if the Republicans were in charge, Beck's protections disappear.
