Al Qaeda clearly choose the wrong target.  an attack on the World Trade Center was an attack against the world, and it made the world unhappy.  instead, an attack on the Mall of America would have clearly been an attack against America, what it says on the tin.  and they chose the wrong weapon: instead of planes, they should have recruited and trained thousands of suicide tuba players to descend on the Mall and demolish it -- the institution, what the building symbolizes -- from its foundations.
