your character dies in a video game.  although you immediately have available the standard options after dying (e.g., restart from last save), if you do nothing, you can watch what happens to your body after death.  perhaps animals you were hunting in the game eat you.  (inspired by BOTW.)  perhaps decomposition or fossilization.

in Genshin Impact, Paimon eats you as emergency food, with absolutely no remorse.
