A human operator directs an artificial intelligence to create an unintelligent tool or weapon that the human then wields to destroy the world. This is different from the classic sci-fi plot with an out-of-control AI autonomously destroying the world.
"I wish I had a Death Star," you casually speak out loud in your Amazon/Google/etc. virtual assistant-equipped living space. A few minutes later, it responds, "Construction complete."
