What isotope number (mass number) should be given when elemental unobtainium (sometimes spelled unobtanium) is explicitly invoked (and a mass number is needed) in science fiction, e.g., The Core, Avatar?
Interesting ones might be much higher than existing elements, or ones similar to but not overlapping with existing ones, when invoking a material that is similar to an existing material. Metastable nuclear states are also possible.
Of course, usually mass number is not called for.
