We praise the Megaminx as a puzzle in which knowledge of how to solve a 3x3 Rubik's cube easily and surprisingly transfers over. It just takes longer to solve.
The Megaminx is analogous to an order 3 Rubik's cube. The order 2 analogues go by several names: Kilominx, Flowerminx, Impossiball.
The Pyraminx Crystal is a dodecahedral puzzle for which knowledge of (tetrahedral) Pyraminx transfers over.
