What will 51% attacks on Bitcoin look like? We can probably guess from other failed altcoins.
An optimistic scenario is a 51% entity will only exercise its power very rarely (similar to traditional currencies which effectively have a 100% entity in the issuing government). Perhaps the 51% entity has a stake in the cryptocurrency surviving.
What is the most profitable way to take advantage on one's 51% power? Start a new block chain from the root?
