[reeeotrw] Heat for a hypercane

There are two ways an asteroid impact might generate enough heat to power a hypercane.  The obvious way is the kinetic energy from the impact.  The other is if the asteroid punctures the crust through to the mantle, unleashing the magma there.  This could be more possible if the asteroid strikes where the crust is already thin, perhaps a volcanic hotspot or rift zone.
