Have a bunch of prominent chess players sit at boards arranged for a simultaneous exhibition, except they are on the "receiving" side. The point is the mind-boggling incongruity of the situation.
Several choices for the "giver" of the simul: An actor, and the scene is merely a fictional "nightmare" being filmed for a movie. A very lucky winner of a prize, perhaps an up-and-coming young player who has had experience in giving simuls and does not mind losing a lot for the privilege of playing such prominent players. A computer, or probably a human performing moves calculated by a distant cluster of computers, perhaps communicated through Google Glass.
