Easy often is a very simple explanation glossing over all the important details. Also easy is a very technical explanation understandable only by experts in the field.
In the vast middle is a difficult gulf. We perhaps want more theory about what is going on, and why it seems difficult, and best practices for communicating in the middle.
Perhaps a document that progresses smoothly from simple to expert without a discontinuity. We need a vocabulary for describing discontinuities and tools for detecting them. Can computer natural language processing help?
