[fkaeexex] Defining burlesque

There seems to be two artistic styles of striptease performances: those which the performer projects an attitude of "I want you to enjoy the show" versus those who in "artistic" fashion are like, "This is the way the show is going to be, whether you like it or not".  Perhaps they are performing for their own enjoyment, or with an activist mindset challenging traditional notions of beauty.

Label these styles "striptease" and "burlesque" respectively.  I don't think this is exactly how it currently works, but might be close.  In particular, if you attend a burlesque show and don't enjoy it, that might be by design.
