Doctor's notes about a patient, at least in olden days, were purely handwritten, but in a language (and context) with exactly one correct transcription.  This offers a potentially good data set for training handwriting recognition, perhaps reCAPTCHA.

If the patient has died, medical confidentiality issues become less.
