Depict the hours of the day from midnight to 6am by a half circle, from 6am to 6pm by a full circle with a dark line at 6, and another half circle from 6pm to midnight. The circles represent hours on a 12-hour analog clock. The circles next to each other resemble a face with large ears. The night-time "ears" could be drawn smaller.
Best for depicting a block of time.
Original inspiration to mark time-stamped incidents where time of day and day of week matters. One "face" per day on a calendar.
