Everybody loves a mystery story, and as "House" shows, the antagonist need not even be human.
Create a documentary (or, it could be fiction) of finding and fixing bugs in open-source software.
We probably need better screen-recording software. A bug hunt may take weeks in real life, interleaved with other simultaneous bug hunts and private computer usage. All these things need to get separated out. Ideally any software engineer can do this with little extra effort.
Popularizes computer science.
