We do not see the same building built multiple times over time, perhaps in different locations. I'm considering famous skyscrapers. Each iteration could correct the flaws discovered in previous iterations. It would save money on architectural design.
Why not? Intellectual property? Hubris? Money to burn? Social stigma?
