Continuation of Human Instinct to Strive

But restrictions on liberty prevent people from being productive.  I have my eye on intellectual property: suppose, while living off the dole, you could contribute to society by taking someone else's work and making it better, that is, building on someone else's work.  But derived work is forbidden by current copyright law.
