[bqgpobwb] Back alley abortions in the information age

In this age of Youtube and HowTOs being published on the internet, one wonders what it will be like if Roe v. Wade is reversed, and abortions illegalized. The world is a very different place than 1973.  It would be ironic if, after illegalizing abortions, they become more available than ever, because non-doctors start performing them (illegally but privately), hopefully with the same degree of safety and skill as doctors (is it even still plural after the assassinations?) now.

How much training is required to perform an abortion?  Probably not all four years of medical school.  How much specialized equipment?  Certainly drug cocktail abortions probably don't require much of either (compared to surgery).

We can look at other developed countries who've illegalized abortions to see what is going on.  We might even look at other countries, where sex-selective abortions are illegal but prevalent.

Inspired by Erowid.
