Wal-Mart

You would think that Wal-Mart, with all its supply-chain wizardry, could pull off not having supplies run out on Black Friday, thus shoppers need not stampede so ferociously to get in. One idea is simply to poll the shoppers in line before opening, and start deploying trucks even before opening to restock any anticipated undersupply.

And it's in Wal-Mart's best interest not to run out, to keep shoppers coming in all day. If they slightly overshoot on supply, they can still sell the product the rest of the holiday season.
