it's a shame that astronomers settled on "PSR + celestial coordinates" as their systematic way of naming pulsars in the sky.  much more fun would have been "LGM + celestial coordinates", a nod to one of the more outlandish theories proposed when pulsars were first discovered.

Little Green Men are modern mythology, so would seamlessly join all the ancient mythology that already provides names for many astronomical objects.
