Despacito is a duet, with Daddy Yankee's sections having lyrics and style more "urban" (so described by Luis Fonsi) than the sections sung by Fonsi. (I don't know Spanish well enough to more precisely characterize the difference.) This contrast can be played with in covers by other pairs of people. What if a man sings Fonsi's lyrics and a woman sings DY's?
Inspired by solo covers which typically miss this contrast. The contrast is an important part of the song.
