Investigate still life objects, especially dense ones, in cellular automata with rules different from Conway's Game of Life.

Still lifes are interesting because one can examine all the cells at one's leisure to verify that each cell's conditions for staying alive or dead are properly met.  This makes them good candidates for static art.
