Adjust the dominance of the three-point shot not by adjusting its distance but adjusting its point value. E.g., start by multiplying all point values by 10 (or 100), and the "three" point shot might only be worth 25 points compared to 20 points for the "two" point shot.
Let the three point arc be at the same location for all levels and genders of the game, just the point values different. It seems more attractive if everyone uses the same equipment (including court markings).
