[fmigrxni] Low dimensional cross sections of honeycombs

Start with a periodic honeycomb (tessellation) in 3 dimensions or higher. Take a 2 dimensional cross section of it at an irrational slope. Something very simple generates something very complicated, aperiodic.  Rational slopes generate periodic tilings.  One can programmatically generate an unending collection of new patterns.

One probably wants to start with a coloring of the original periodic honeycomb.

We could also take a spherical cross section and get a nicely patterned sphere.
