[brziliku] Tindr FTW

Anecdotes of long-term romantic relationships that began through meeting on online hookup sites inspire the question, is this happening more often than can be expected by chance?  (By chance, one might expect the frequency to be zero: it's not what either person is looking for in their life.)

If so, the mechanism might be that the kind people who find it acceptable to sign up and meet through a hookup site tend to all be of a particular subculture, and therefore share a lot in common, resulting in long-term relationships.  Of course, one of the major components of a culture/subculture is the rules regarding courtship.
