Every dance form (probably) has songs that are more challenging to dance to than other songs: only experienced dancers can enjoy them. Characterize such songs for each dance form.
Lindy Hop: most prominently, fast tempo. Bass line, or beat, kept by uncommon instruments, not bass or drums. Unusual rhythms and breaks.
Characterize DJs by the rate they play such songs. Characterize dancers by the kind of songs they prefer. Characterize dance venues by what they play. What sociological mechanisms are at play inducing such song selections and preferences? (Keep certain people out.)
