[itklapmp] Melting curbside snow

Run a hose of constantly circulating hot water along the curb to the storm drain. (But not draining into the storm drain; it is a closed circuit.)  The emitted heat melts the piles of snow on the sides of the street left after plowing and creates a channel to let it drain away. Basically an outdoor radiator.

The water in the hose should flow (be pumped) uphill from the drain because the area near the drain (with the hottest water) must be cleared first and kept clear to avoid a backup and giant puddle.

Need to avoid the hose getting damaged by snow shovels of people digging out their driveways and parallel parked cars.

There might be the problem of the melted snow refreezing in the storm sewer, blocking it up. However, this doesn't seem to be a problem with the regular sewer system, i.e., flushing your toilet. (On further research, it seems freezing won't happen if the sewers are built below the frost line, which they typically are.)
