Someday, science will discover the causes of homosexuality: perhaps nature, perhaps nurture, perhaps a bit of both.
Only then will we encounter the truly difficult ethical questions: should parents be permitted to abort a fetus based on predicted sexual orientation? Should a child be permitted legal recourse against parents (or other environmental factors) who nurtured the child toward a certain sexual orientation?
I claim society is not ready to handle such such questions yet. What can be done to prepare society to tackle them?
