A high resolution, very large (wall-sized) display is prohibitively expensive, and will probably remain so for the foreseeable future.
One way to cheat is for only the center of the display, at eye level, to be high resolution, perhaps a tablet, and the rest of the wall be covered by a cheaper low-resolution display, perhaps rear projection. Those displays are set to pan in synchrony with the tablet. Inspired by fovea of the human eye.
Another neat UI is for the area in front of the tablet have a treadmill parallel to the wall. If you walk in either direction, the treadmill activates to move you back to center, but panning the display as if you had walked that direction. The general idea is intuitive scrolling, moving your body in the direction you want to see more.
