A person plays perhaps dozens of correspondence games simultaneously, but spends only a few seconds considering the next move for each one. So participating in such an activity takes perhaps less than an hour of mental effort per day.
Probably need a friendly agreement not to cheat, as is necessary for all correspondence chess.
A UI which enforces the time control: It starts decrementing your clock (set at blitz time control) only after you choose to see your opponent's previous move. Submitting your move to the central server does not immediately start the opponent's clock; for vast periods of time, neither clock moves.
